Terry McCaffrey

Our amazing brother, uncle and friend, Terry McCaffrey (59) passed away following a short illness on June 11, 2024. There are so many words to describe this wonderful, big hearted guy. He was funny, kind-hearted, warm, smart, and an incredible listener. Terry stayed in contact with friends as far back as elementary school - he never met a stranger. He went by many nicknames including Ter, Uncle T, T-bone, T-willy, T-money and the most unique, “Oven Mitt”,

given to him by his dear friend Walter, whom he will join in heaven.

Terry was born in Denver on January 4th, 1965 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He is preceded in death by his loving parents, Thomas Michael McCaffrey and Dorothy Ann McCaffrey (O’Toole). He graduated from Cherry Creek High School and earned a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management from the University of Denver. He worked in the food/restaurant industry for several years before becoming a realtor for Your Castle Real Estate. He loved being a realtor and it was such a perfect fit with his friendly, caring personality. His brother, Tom, joined him in real estate a few years ago, where they teamed up as The McCaffrey Brothers. Terry was fun loving and lived life to the fullest, traveling, golfing and sharing many fun times with his many friends. Many of you will remember him for his hilarious pet peeves, his three keys to Communication - Listen, Acknowledge and Ask Questions, all of which he tried to practice daily.

Among the many people that will have an empty place in their hearts are his siblings and nieces and nephews. His brother Tom McCaffrey (Lorie, Connor and Colton), his sister Kathy Nahman (Vance, Kelly, Andy and Haley) and sister Diane Grierson (Kevin, Molly and Jen). He will be dearly missed by so many friends, cousins, business associates and acquaintances.

We will have a Celebration of Terry’s Life on Tuesday, June 25th at The Sanctuary Golf Course,
